The easiest way to describe me may be by describing my interests. Besides from
gardening, hiking and programming
I read books and I watch a lot of
films, preferably at the theatre.

Books
I mostly read study books, but I always read a few novels on the side.
Currently I am reading:
Shalimar the Clown - by Salman Rushdie. Christmas present 2005.
Caves of Steel - by Isaac Asimov.
Reading I have put on hold to do/read other things first:
The history of Islam - No, I've been reading it since before Sept11, of mere interest.
Theories of everything - Half science, half philosophy. I like books like this.
The long Dark Tea-time of the Soul - by Douglas Adams, in the "Dirk Gently Omnibus".
In recent years I have read:
Anansi Boys - by Neil Gaiman. Christmas present 2005.
The Naked Sun - by Isaac Asimov.
The Complete Novels - by George Orwell. Birthday present 2003.
Gödel, Escher, Bach - by Douglas Hofstadter. Christmas present from 2002.
I, Robot - The complete collection of Asimovs short stories.
Dirk Gentlys holistic detective agency - by Douglas Adams, in the "Dirk Gently Omnibus".
Film
Here I used to have a list of films and reviews of films I have seen,
but I lost the entire database at the server crash in June 2005.
So to make a long story short: I (almost) never say no to a movie.
