Now the fish!

Yesterday was the grand opening of the new department aquarium. Sonja and I bought zebrafish, catfish and the algae-eating Ameca splendens as the first inhabitors of our two-week old aquatic environment. They seemed to enjoy the tank immediately, swimming everywhere and the catfish started to eat the algae. The activity around the tank attracted the attention of a number of our colleagues who gathered round to watch the fish and give them names.

The zebrafish are now called z1 through z10, the catfish were named Bonnie and Clyde, the two female Ameca splendens are now known as Thelma and Louise. Wat leuke namen!
